Rise Technical is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician Lead to travel to customer sites across TX, NM, and OK, overseeing major component replacements and ensuring safe, efficient execution from prep to return-to-service.

The role requires strong GE 1.5 turbine knowledge and proven on-site leadership, guiding technicians and maintaining high safety standards while supporting busy field operations.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of wind turbine field service operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead major component replacements (gearbox, main bearing, blade exchanges) on GE 1.5 platforms.

• Direct crane lifts using radio communication and hand signals while ensuring safe lift execution.

In this role, you’ll travel to customer sites across TX, OK, and NM to lead major component replacements - including gearbox, main bearing, and blade exchanges - while driving safe execution and keeping the crew operating efficiently from prep through return-to-service.

The Role:

• Lead major component replacements (gearbox, main bearing, blade exchanges) on GE 1.5 platforms.
• Oversee prep, crane operations, and return-to-service activities to keep jobs on track.
• Direct crane lifts using radio communication and hand signals while ensuring safe lift execution.
• Support and guide technicians on-site, acting as the go-to lead for quality and safety standards.

The Person:

• Strong knowledge of GE 1.5 wind turbines.
• Proven ability to lead a crew on-site (mentoring, setting expectations, driving safe work).
• Previous experience in major component replacements (MCE).
