Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking a Sr PGD Safety Specialist to lead safety programs across the West Wind Hub. You will drive regulatory compliance, conduct field assessments, and guide teams with technical leadership and coaching.

The role requires up to 75% travel in the U.S. and Canada, a bachelor’s in a technical field, and 4+ years in energy/utility safety (or 8+ years with broader experience). CSP/GSP certifications are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety/Occupational Health or a related technical field.
• Proven leadership in safety program development, training delivery, and investigations.
• Strong communication skills across frontline workers to executive leadership.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory interpretation of OSHA and related regulations.
• Lead teams with technical guidance on safety procedures and compliance.
• Deliver onsite safety coaching, training, and leadership.
• Conduct injury analyses and recommend corrective actions.
• Suggest enhancements to the safety management system.
