Job summary

Perry Ellis International, Inc. in the fashion wholesale sector seeks a Wholesale Business Planner to drive end-to-end financial planning and performance for a major account. You will work closely with Sales, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, and the account’s Buying and Planning teams to forecast sales, margins, and inventory.

You will also mentor junior planners and lead cross-functional collaboration to optimize performance and profitability across seasons.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in retail merchandising planning or financial planning.
• Advanced proficiency in retail math, OTB management, financial modeling, and Excel.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and present clear, strategic recommendations to leadership.
• Superior written and oral communication, with cross-functional influence.
• Strong ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present comprehensive financial plans (sales, margin, inventory, gross-to-net).
• Lead pre-season planning for replenishment and assortment with Merchandising and Sales.
• Serve as planning expert and contact for the assigned account, guiding performance discussions.
• Own weekly analysis of selling reports, advising on pricing and open-to-buy (OTB).
• Mentor junior planners and collaborate with Demand Planning and Sales on forecasts.
