Job summary

Everest Insurance Company in Chicago is seeking a Senior Underwriter II, Wholesale Casualty, to develop and manage a profitable E&S General Liability portfolio. You will partner with wholesale brokers to drive growth while maintaining underwriting discipline in a hybrid Chicago market.

The role requires 5-10+ years in commercial casualty underwriting, strong risk assessment, and proven broker management. A CPCU/AU/ASLI/ARM designation is preferred, with opportunities for growth and competitive

Qualifications

5-10+ years of commercial casualty underwriting experience.
Experience in E&S, surplus lines, specialty, or wholesale markets.
Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities.

Responsibilities

Underwrite new and renewal E&S General Liability business within established authority levels.
Build and manage a profitable portfolio of middle-market casualty accounts.
Develop relationships with wholesale broker partners across the Midwest.
Evaluate risk exposures, pricing adequacy, coverage structures, and account profitability.
Drive new business production while meeting underwriting and portfolio objectives.
Collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, Product, Finance, and Operations teams.
