Job summary
Everest Insurance Company is seeking a Senior Underwriter, Commercial Auto on the Wholesale Casualty team. You will build and manage a profitable portfolio across the Central Region, with a hybrid work model and potential remote consideration for exceptional candidates.
Primary location is flexible among Everest offices. You will underwrite new and renewal E&S Commercial Auto business, develop broker relationships, and ensure profitability through disciplined risk assessment and pricing.
Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of commercial insurance underwriting experience.
- Strong expertise in Commercial Auto underwriting, preferably in E&S or wholesale.
- Experience underwriting transportation, contractor auto, trucking or auto-focused risks.
- Proven success managing broker relationships and generating new business.
- Independently manage a book of business with underwriting discipline.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite new and renewal E&S Commercial Auto business.
- Develop and maintain a profitable book within the Central Region.
- Build strong broker relationships and be a trusted market resource.
- Evaluate risk exposures, pricing adequacy, terms and coverage structures.
- Execute underwriting strategies aligned with regional growth goals.
- Collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, Operations, Product and Distribution teams.
