Job summary

Everest Insurance Company in the United States is seeking a Senior Underwriter for Commercial Auto to manage a Central Region portfolio within the Wholesale Casualty team.

The role offers hybrid work with flexible location across Everest offices and remote consideration for qualified candidates. You will collaborate closely with Claims, Actuarial, Operations, Product, and Distribution to drive profitable growth.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of commercial insurance underwriting experience.
• Expertise in Commercial Auto underwriting, preferably within the E&S or wholesale market.
• Proven broker relationship management and ability to generate new business.
• Able to independently manage a book of business with underwriting discipline.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal E&S Commercial Auto business, including fleet, public auto, contractor auto, transportation, and other complex vehicle-related exposures.
• Develop and maintain a profitable book of business within the Central Region territory.
• Build strong relationships with wholesale broker partners and become a trusted market resource.
• Evaluate risk exposures, pricing adequacy, terms, and coverage structures to achieve profitability goals.
• Execute underwriting strategies aligned with regional growth objectives.
• Identify new business opportunities and drive brand awareness for Everest Evolution.
• Collaborate closely with Claims, Actuarial, Operations, Product, and Distribution teams.
• Monitor competitive market conditions, industry trends, and broker activity within the territory.
• Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines, authority levels, and referral processes.
