Hilton Head Health seeks an experienced Program Manager to lead the vision, delivery, and evolution of our wellness programming. The role blends strategic leadership with subject-matter expertise and guest-facing presence, translating science into practical lifestyle change while inspiring guests and staff.

The candidate excels in lectures, mentoring, data-driven outcomes, and shaping organizational strategy; expects growth of programs and high guest engagement in a hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of leadership or program management experience in wellness, health promotion, medical fitness, or retreat/residential wellness settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in behavior change coaching, weight management programming, health education and public speaking.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary wellness teams.
• Strong background in evidence-based health and wellness practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and continuous development of wellness programming including H3 Experience and related offerings.
• Design and evolve integrated programming aligning lifestyle education, fitness, nutrition, and behavioral health.
• Ensure programs reflect current research and best practices in health promotion and weight management.
• Evaluate program effectiveness using data, guest feedback, and outcomes to drive improvement.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to shape long-term programming vision.
• Serve as primary educational voice through lectures, workshops, and guest interactions.
• Deliver presentations on weight management, behavior change psychology, nutrition and metabolic health, chronic disease prevention, exercise and mobility, and sustainable lifestyle habits.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of health coaches and wellness specialists.
• Foster a collaborative, positive, and accountable team culture; provide staff education grounded in evidence-based coaching.
• Establish standards for instructional excellence and guest engagement; support hiring, onboarding, and staff development.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in health education

Master’s degree in Health Education
