Job summary

Union Settlement Association in East Harlem, NY is seeking a Health and Wellness Coordinator (Part-Time) to design and coordinate wellness programming for older adults across the Aging, Health and Wellness programs.

The coordinator will develop outreach strategies to boost participation in fitness, nutrition, mental wellness, and social activities while ensuring inclusive access and responsiveness to evolving needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, health education, social work, gerontology, community health, exercise science, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with health promotion, wellness initiatives, or social services.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage older adults in fitness, nutrition, mental wellness, and social activities.
• Coordinate workshops, screenings, and partnerships with partner hospitals and community organizations.
• Utilize AI platform to communicate with participants, track participation, and analyze program data.
• Monitor participation and engagement trends and identify opportunities to improve involvement.
• Maintain accurate records and support events and department-wide initiatives.
