Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta seeks a Wellness Coach Level III to build personalized relationships with members and support signature wellness programs at the Decatur site. You will ensure high service levels, follow health and safety guidelines, and participate in staff trainings and certifications.

The role requires advanced knowledge of weightlifting, health concepts, and strong customer service. A national trainer certification is required and ongoing CEU compliance is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of advanced weightlifting and health/wellness concepts.
• Must hold and maintain current national personal training certification or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with members and staff.
• Ability to manage a personal training load and caseload appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily program tasks related to the position's scope and responsibility.
• Monitor the wellness center floor and assist members while enforcing policies.
• Maintain equipment and report repair needs under supervisor guidance.
• Complete required trainings and certifications within specified timeframes.
• Maintain incident/accident paperwork and assist in wellness program operations.
• Be available for at least two, four-hour shifts per week and manage member caseloads.
