Job summary

The Orchards at Big Rapids is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to plan and lead engaging programs for residents in our skilled nursing facility. You will promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being through meaningful interaction and daily enrichment, working closely with the Life Enrichment Director.

Responsibilities include developing activities, encouraging participation, transporting residents to events, documenting participation, and supporting special events while adhering to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in senior care, recreation, or customer service preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with older adults.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, organizing, and leading activities tailored to residents.
• Encourage participation and provide companionship during programs.
• Help transport residents to and from activities.
• Document resident participation and provide feedback to the Life Enrichment Director.
• Support special events, outings, and holiday celebrations.
• Comply with health, safety, and infection control policies.
