Job summary

Sun City Post Acute seeks an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in planning and conducting engaging activities for residents, aligned with regulatory standards and the facility's care goals.

You will help schedule monthly calendars, assist with assessments, coordinate outings, and encourage residents to participate in hobbies and reading, while maintaining records and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• Education/experience: high school diploma or equivalent; prefer 1 year in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting individual, small and large group activities.
• Help communicate between staff, residents and families to meet resident needs.
• Participate in community planning related to resident interests.
• Assist in developing monthly activity calendars and tracking attendance.
• Assist in discharge planning and activity care plans for residents.
• Arrange transportation for residents for outings, appointments, or discharge.
