Job summary

You will mentor staff, coordinate with maintenance and other supervisors, and drive continuous improvement in methods, efficiency, and team performance through strong leadership and problem-solving.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervisory experience in metal fabrication.
• Must have welding experience.
• Experience programming robotic welders is a plus.
• Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to manage and supervise employees to production standards and goals.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong detail orientation and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Blueprint reading proficiency.
• Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong computer skills; knowledge of Kronos and SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for production, quality, safety and customer satisfaction.
• Supervise a team of welders and weld operators.
• Maintain and perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment.
• Resolve worker problems or complaints with management or subordinates.
• Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Coordinate operations and activities with other supervisors.
• Motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, or efficiency.
• Conduct employee training in equipment operations or safety procedures.
• Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records to determine requirements.
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences.
• Keep records of attendance and hours worked.
• Ensure adherence to manufacturing processes and meet production requirements.
• Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
• Observe work and monitor output to ensure compliance with standards.
• Promote safety and provide recommendations for improvement with HR.
• Other duties as assigned.
