Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. is seeking a 1st Shift Weld Production Supervisor to lead a team of manual and robotic welders and optimize the Robotic Welding department's resources.

The role focuses on safety, quality, and efficient production in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience, knowledge of lean manufacturing, and familiarity with SAP, with the ability to train staff and coordinate across departments to meet production targets and customer

Qualifications

• Experience with robotic weld equipment preferred.
• Experience ordering supplies, troubleshooting welding/production problems, performing welding tests for prospective welders.
• Experience in prototyping parts and fixtures, and communicating with end users.
• Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing.
• Prior experience with SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, quality, production and customer satisfaction.
• Supervise welders and robotic weld operators; assign tasks and manage workload to meet quality and cost targets.
• Develop, recommend, and implement departmental policies and procedures to meet safety standards and production goals.
• Coordinate with management to resolve worker problems, complaints, and grievances.
• Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Plan and establish work schedules and production sequences to meet goals.
• Train employees in equipment operation and safety procedures.
