Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to lead welding quality programs across projects. You will supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors, review procedures, and approve welder qualifications.

The role calls for mastery of AWS codes (D1.1, D1.5, D1.8), ASME IX, API 1104, and ability to coordinate with engineers of record, owners, and officials. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI or CWI with 8+ years leading inspections.
• Experience writing welding quality plans and NDT procedures.
• Familiarity with AWS D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX, API 1104.
• Ability to review and approve welder qualifications.
• Ability to audit fabricators and resolve disputed indications.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans and procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors on projects.
• Review reports and calibrate inspector calls.
• Audit fabricators and NDT subcontractors.
