Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Welding Inspector III to lead welding quality programs across projects, supervise CWIs and welding inspectors, and approve WPS/PQR packages. You will audit fabricators, resolve disputed indications, and interact with engineers of record and building officials.

The ideal candidate has an AWS SCWI or a CWI with 8+ years of inspection leadership, with strong command of AWS D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX and API 1104, plus NDT Level II/III in at least one method.

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI or CWI with 8+ years of inspection leadership.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX and API 1104.
• NDT Level II/III preferred; writing welding quality programs; credible with engineers and fabricators.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans, procedures, and NDT procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Weld Inspectors; review reports and calibrate calls.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems; witness qualification tests; interact with engineers of record.
