Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to own manufacturing processes, routings, BOMs and change notices. You will support weld and fab operations, review new releases, and advise on equipment/tooling.

You’ll enable coordination between Engineering and Operations and drive lean improvements. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience, with experience in welding, machining, and ERP systems, and a willingness to work on-site at the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering or related field.
• Five or more years of experience.
• Experience welding aluminum and steel.
• Familiarity with Industrial engineering methods / Lean tools.
• Experience with new equipment planning with contractors.
• Knowledge of machining/fabrication methods including fiber laser cutting, press brake, CNC mills, band saws, lathes.
• Ability to read safety rules and procedures.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle).
• Drafting skills and 2D/3D CAD experience (Siemens NX).

Responsibilities

• Be the subject matter expert for a selected series of processes.
• Oversee and coach engineers and technicians in daily work.
• Lead projects with lean/six sigma improvements.
• Manage equipment capitalization and project-related POs.
• Perform complex engineering calculations and reporting.
• Balance cycle time across stations to meet delivery schedules.
• Prepare PQR and WPS with CWI support.
• Collaborate with design to address product performance issues.
• Provide technical guidance for production issues.
• Configure ERP data for cost and labor calculations.
