Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation, Inc. in Murfreesboro, Tennessee is seeking a Lean Manufacturing Engineer to coordinate manufacturing methods, design layouts, and improve production efficiency at our brand-new facility.

You will analyze workflows, apply Lean and Six Sigma tools, and support senior engineers with project work and cost estimates. This onsite role reports to the Chief Engineer - Operations and includes comprehensive benefits, employee development, and a path toward advanced engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering or related field.
• 1–2+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks.
• Support more senior engineers in facility processes, designs, and reporting.
• Responsible for a project or part of a project of limited complexity; may manage multiple projects.
• Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, or production build.
• Analyze space requirements, workflow and layout for equipment and workspace.
