Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of welding engineering or related fabrication experience preferred.
• Extensive experience in heavy fabrication environments.
• Experience developing, qualifying, and implementing code-compliant welding procedures.
• Advanced knowledge of welding processes, materials, metallurgy, and NDE.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, qualification, implementation, and optimization of welding procedures from concept through production.
• Serve as the technical authority for complex welding issues and provide direction to engineering, quality, and operations.
• Lead welding procedure development and qualification activities per codes and customer requirements.
• Establish welding strategies, parameters, and production requirements for high-risk applications.
• Drive resolution of welding defects, quality issues, and fabrication challenges.
• Direct implementation of new welding technology, automation, and processes.
• Mentor Welding Engineers I and II and provide technical leadership.
• Support strategic planning for capabilities, equipment, and workforce development.
• Represent Welding Engineering in cross-functional and customer-facing discussions.
