Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years welding engineering experience.
• Experience in heavy fabrication and code-compliant procedures.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes and metallurgy.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, qualification, and optimization of welding procedures from concept through production.
• Serve as technical authority for complex welding issues and provide direction to engineering, quality, and operations.
• Lead and approve welding procedure development and qualification activities per codes and customer requirements.
• Establish welding strategies, processes, parameters, and production requirements for high-risk applications.
• Lead resolution of welding defects, quality issues, and production constraints.
• Direct implementation of new welding technology, automation, and robotics.
• Evaluate and recommend welding equipment, consumables, and process improvements.
• Lead initiatives to improve weld quality, productivity, and manufacturing capability.
• Provide technical input to quoting, manufacturing planning, and new product development.
• Develop and maintain welding standards, work instructions, and procedures.
• Interpret customer requirements and welding codes into practical manufacturing requirements.
• Mentor junior welders and provide technical leadership within welding engineering.
