Job summary

METConn in the United States seeks a seasoned engineer to support Industry Managed Programs by reviewing audits, supporting the Welding task group, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

You will lead audit reviews, manage task group meetings, develop audit criteria, recruit and train auditors, and provide technical summaries to task groups. Occasional travel and cross-functional collaboration are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent required.
• 5+ years in welding technologies (GTAW and related processes).
• Strong knowledge of aerospace welding specs and processes.
• Able to travel up to 30% and work in office and industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Audit reviews with confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
• Manage and facilitate welding task group meetings and projects.
• Develop, revise, and implement audit criteria.
• Recruit, interview, and train auditors.
• Provide technical summaries and support to task groups.
• Collaborate with Auditor Staffing and oversee assigned auditors.
• Maintain proficiency in assigned technologies.
• Develop and manage budgets for activities.
• Support investigations and present at industry events.
• Lead or support internal projects for continuous improvement.
