Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: high school plus college training in metallurgy/weld design and five years welding experience or equivalent.
• Ability to analyze technical and cost aspects of welding problems and propose solutions.
• Develop repeatable weld processes compatible with single-piece flow line production.

Responsibilities

• Study and analyze welding problems before investigations.
• Coordinate experiments with tools, equipment, and welding processes.
• Issue Technical Reports and process specifications for welding.
• Develop detailed plans for repeatable, sustainable weld quality.
• Coordinate activities of other employees in welding programs.
• Keep abreast of improvements in welding equipment and techniques.
