Job summary

Tesco Controls, a UFT company, is seeking a Welder Lead in Sacramento to guide daily welding and fabrication activities, interpret blueprints, and ensure products meet quality and safety standards.

You will train staff, monitor workflow, and coordinate with engineering and production teams while maintaining documentation and equipment. This is a full-time on-site role offering growth opportunities within a stable, growing company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Welding certification from an accredited program is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings is required.
• Advanced knowledge of welding techniques and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the daily activities of welding personnel.
• Assign tasks and monitor workflow to meet production schedules.
• Perform complex welding and fabrication using MIG, TIG, stick, flux-core processes.
• Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings tos ensure correct fabrication.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
• Inspect welds and finished products for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching to welding staff.
• Maintain safety procedures and PPE compliance.
• Troubleshoot fabrication/welding issues and propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineering, quality, and production teams.
