Job summary

Dover Corporation's Vehicle Service Group (VSG) is seeking a welder in Madison, Indiana. This role performs GMAW welding on various equipment, may include SAW, and requires handling multiple pieces on the plant floor.

You will follow safety protocols and contribute to quality and efficiency. Responsibilities include setting up fixtures, reading blueprints, and maintaining weld tolerances while actively coordinating with a helper and supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass general aptitude/basic math skills test.
• Ability to lift at least 35 lbs multiple times per day.
• Must pass welding coupon test.
• Must pass written welding test.

Responsibilities

• Perform general structural welding using Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) semi-automatic and automatic equipment.
• May perform SAW when required and work on various pieces of equipment in the plant.
• Load/unload fixtures and operate hoists as needed.
• Direct the work of a helper when necessary and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maintain tolerances, and ensure weld quality.
• Record part counts on time cards and move tickets, maintain a clean and safe work area.
