Job summary

Alloy Engineering, a 100% employee-owned company in Berea, OH, seeks a Senior Welder / Fabricator with advanced MIG and TIG skills to join our fabrication team. This is not entry-level; candidates must have 8+ years of hands-on welding and fabrication experience, read blueprints, perform shop math, fit and fabricate components, and produce high-quality welds.

Weld on stainless steel and exotic metals, work from complex drawings, and take ownership of projects from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years welding and metal fabrication experience.
• Advanced MIG and TIG welding experience.
• Experience welding stainless steel and/or exotic metals.
• Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, dimensions, and weld symbols.
• Strong shop math skills.
• Strong fitting, layout, measurement, and fabrication skills.
• Ability to work independently from blueprint to final fabrication.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Weld stainless steel and exotic metals using MIG and TIG.
• Read complex blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Perform advanced shop math for layouts and fits.
• Set up welding equipment and determine appropriate settings.
• Inspect welds for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Operate fabrication equipment and plasma cutting tools.
• Troubleshoot fabrication issues and ensure safety compliance.
