Job summary

Jobot in Beloit, Wisconsin is seeking a Senior Weld Engineer to lead large assembly projects in our manufacturing department. You will oversee design, welding processes, and material selections, using laser welding and related techniques to deliver high-quality products for clients.

The role requires a bachelor’s in Welding Engineering or Metallurgy (master’s preferred) with 5+ years in similar roles. Expect ISO 9000 compliance, CAD mastery, and strong leadership in a fast-growing organization.

Qualifications

• BA in Welding Eng., Metallurgy or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years in welding engineering with large assembly focus.
• Proficient CAD skills: Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks; ISO 9000 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee large assembly projects from conception to completion.
• Create detailed drawings/models using CAD software.
• Perform strength/size calculations for structural integrity.
• Apply metallurgy knowledge to select materials; troubleshoot issues.
• Implement and maintain ISO 9000 standards throughout manufacturing.
• Use FEA/simulation to predict performance and mitigate issues.
• Guide welding team to meet project requirements.
• Keep current with welding technologies and integrate them where appropriate.
