Job summary

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden seeks a Manager of Wedding Sales to lead revenue generation for wedding rentals, manage inquiries to contracts, and coordinate with operations for seamless events. You will supervise the Wedding Sales Coordinator and collaborate across departments to elevate the Arboretum as a premier wedding venue.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality, tourism, business, marketing, event management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Three+ years of successful sales experience, preferably in wedding sales, venue rentals, hospitality, or events.
• Proven ability to achieve revenue goals, manage pipelines, negotiate agreements, and close business.
• Experience with onsite event coordination and supervision or training of support staff preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Tripleseat or similar software preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Achieve weekly, monthly, and annual wedding rental booking and revenue goals through proactive sales and effective closing strategies.
• Manage inquiries, qualify prospects, conduct venue tours, prepare proposals, negotiate rental agreements, and secure bookings within guidelines.
• Maintain a strong sales pipeline and relationships with planners, vendors, and industry partners.
• Promote the Arboretum's venues, amenities, capacities, and offerings to clients and partners.
• Maximize venue utilization through targeted strategies for priority dates and slower periods.
• Collaborate with Marketing on sales collateral, website info, and social media content.
