Job summary

Bank of America is hiring a Network Security Engineer to support enterprise security capabilities. You will be SME for security technologies, overseeing design, development, and implementation of systems, and reporting on key metrics.

You will lead security requirements, test plans, and project delivery while collaborating with cross-functional teams to address complex issues in our global network footprint.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on professional experience.
• Strong end-to-end network flow experience including how traffic enters/exits the network.
• Must have extensive knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Load balancing, IPS, and TCP/IP with packet analysis.
• Understanding of TLS and data-in-transit encryption/decryption.
• Hands-on experience with proxies (SkyHigh Web Gateway).
• Experience with Web Proxy controls for content filtering.
• Senior level expertise in at least one of: Load balancers, Network Malware scanning, NSX Defender, or cloud security deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification, definition, and documentation of network security requirements.
• Develop and execute test plans with quantitative results.
• Outline measurement marks for policy, administration, and use cases.
• Design, engineer, and support security software/hardware per requirements and standards.
• Drive complex security projects to on-time delivery.
• Identify and raise risks or potential vulnerabilities.
• Resolve technical complexities to meet requirements.
• Manage major milestones from requirements to runbooks and execution.
