Job summary

Harvey is seeking a Staff Web Developer to lead the architecture and data foundations for harvey.ai’s web presence. You’ll own Next.js, Sanity, and the integration layer, ensuring reliability, performance, and scale across marketing, analytics, and GTM systems.

You will mentor a small front-end–leaning team, set standards, and partner with product engineering, security, and infrastructure to harden the platform while preserving developer velocity.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Web Development experience with back-end and systems expertise.
• Strong command of the modern web stack — React/Next.js, TypeScript, SSR.
• Experience with headless CMS platforms (Sanity, Contentful) at scale.
• Proven experience building and operating production systems with CI/CD and observability.
• Fluency with data infrastructure fundamentals (SQL/NoSQL, caching, queues).
• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into production web experiences.
• Ability to mentor engineers and influence across functions.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of the web platform end to end, including Next.js and Sanity.
• Design data foundations and integration patterns connecting the site to marketing, analytics, CRM, and GTM.
• Establish automation, CI/CD, preview/deploy tooling, and automated testing.
• Set observability standards with logging, tracing, and performance budgets.
• Lead how AI/ML is applied to web workflows from content operations to personalization.
• Partner with Security and Infrastructure to harden the platform without slowing development.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a small frontend-focused team.
