Job summary

Renesas Electronics seeks a Senior Manager, Web Engineering to lead the organization building and operating Renesas.com and related digital platforms. You will guide a global team of about 30 FTEs and contractors across development, QA, infrastructure, and AI initiatives.

The role requires deep technical leadership, strategic decision-making, and strong communication to translate business needs into scalable web priorities for senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in web engineering or related tech leadership roles, incl. 5+ years managing teams.
• Strong judgment across web development, platform architecture, infrastructure, QA, release management, and production support.
• Experience leading CMS-based platforms and services, APIs, or modern front-end experiences.
• Proven ability to guide strategy, evaluate risks, and lead without owning every implementation detail.
• Exceptional communication to align stakeholders and communicate decisions with credibility.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and cross-functional initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Web Engineering organization across development, QA, infrastructure, and production operations.
• Manage a global team of ~30 FTEs and contractors with coaching and delivery accountability.
• Own engineering delivery for Renesas.com and related platforms end-to-end.
• Set technical direction and operating rhythms for planning, release, QA, and production support.
• Drive adoption of AI-enabled tools and workflows to improve productivity and quality.
• Partner with product management, content, digital marketing, IT, security, and analytics.
• Identify risks and blockers early and present clear options and recommendations.
• Create concise executive updates on progress, risks, and decisions.
