General Motors is seeking a Sr Web Software Engineer to lead the web frontend across GM Commercial Software. You will work across GM’s software products to shape web applications that power fleet management and energy optimization.
The role emphasizes React/Redux, design systems, testing, and collaboration with product, design and engineering teams. It is a hybrid role with locations in Silicon Valley and Austin.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on web application development.
- Strong understanding with React, Redux, and design systems.
- Experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Produce high quality production code with documentation and observability.
- Strong problem-solving in an agile environment.
- Experience driving features independently across the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product to implement responsive, visually appealing functionality using React.
- Build and launch new capabilities and products delivering value to customers.
- Uphold high engineering standards and improve efficiency in codebases.
- Collaborate with product, design and other engineering functions.
- Mentor engineers early in their career to grow.
- Explore new technologies and enrich our stack.
