Job summary

Johnson Health Tech North America Inc. is seeking a Web Engineer to design and develop a broad range of web tools and applications in alignment with company policies.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement business-driven functionality and improve the full product life cycle for existing and new products. Responsibilities include building scalable web sites, guiding technical design, enforcing coding standards, and mentoring junior developers within an agile framework.

Qualifications

• Minimum four-year degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of development experience.
• 3 years of Node.js, Python or PHP professional development.
• 4+ years of relational database systems.
• 4+ years of NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• 4+ years of RESTful API consumption and development.

Responsibilities

• Develop websites and applications using modern web development stacks.
• Implement scalable applications that meet business requirements and can be distributed globally.
• Lead in technical design of new sites and applications.
• Define and enforce code standards and review other developers' code.
• Be a self-managing, full participant in cross-functional agile teams: define tasks and assignments and complete them by committed dates and timelines and help teammates do the same.
• Support junior developers in code development skills as needed.
• Embrace new technologies and strive to follow best practices and procedures.
