Job summary

Johnson Health Tech North America Inc. seeks an Engineering Manager – Software Team to coordinate and lead a global software R&D effort for fitness equipment.

You will guide a team of software engineers in developing console software, firmware, and new technologies, while partnering with cross‑functional groups to improve products and processes. The role emphasizes strong technical leadership, software development best practices, and hands-on coaching.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of managerial experience
• 5 years of OO programming in C++, C# or Java; UI based app development
• 5 years of experience with unit testing and documentation
• Knowledge of MCU and ARM Embedded System Development
• Ability to travel up to 30% internationally and domestically
• Ability to lead and inspire a team of engineers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Staffing, planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and controlling operations
• Attracting and hiring top engineering talent
• Provide direction and mentorship to engineers on coding conventions and design patterns
• Lead development planning and resource allocation across global teams
• Coordinate across software R&D, product marketing, UX/UI and QA
• Oversee production support, outages, and post-release improvements
