Job summary

Knowtex.ai in San Francisco is seeking a frontend-leaning Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale Clinical Intelligence features in our web application. You will collaborate with Platform Engineering and customer teams to deliver accessible, performant UI for real-time AI workflows in healthcare.

This role offers ownership on small, high-impact teams, end-to-end feature delivery, and opportunities to influence architecture while maintaining reliability and security in a regulated

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building production web applications.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
• Experience with React and Node.js.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of distributed systems and scalability concepts.
• Strong debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using agentic coding tools to aid in the SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and expand core Clinical Intelligence experiences, including AI assistants, patient context, patient search, trial and drug eligibility, and other workflows.
• Build and scale client-side EHR-integrated features.
• Maintain complex audio-centric workflows.
• Develop accessible, intuitive, and performant user interfaces.
• Develop secure and performant APIs and supporting infrastructure for web and mobile apps.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer delivery teams to prioritize bug fixes and new features.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Improve system reliability, observability, and performance.
• Handle escalations from customer-facing teams and investigate issues beyond usual scope.
