Job summary

Sigma Defense in San Diego, CA is seeking a Web Developer to join our team and build DoD-aligned web applications. The role focuses on developing robust front-end interfaces with React and TypeScript, and integrating RESTful APIs with Python back-end services.

You will work in restricted-network environments, maintain PostgreSQL databases, and implement secure authentication/authorization using Keycloak. US citizenship is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of experience developing, deploying, and supporting application suites in DoD/environments.
• Experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and Python-based backends (Flask or similar).
• Experience with PostgreSQL databases and security practices such as RBAC.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications in DoD or other regulated environments.
• Maintain JSON Schemas to define data structures and validation rules.
• Develop web applications using React and TypeScript with admin/data-driven interfaces.
• Implement and maintain RESTful APIs using Python/Flask.
• Configure and maintain PostgreSQL databases and perform migrations, backup/recovery.
• Implement authentication/authorization with RBAC (Keycloak).
• Configure Windows Server environments for services and apps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver features.
• Troubleshoot and debug software defects and performance issues.
• Document architecture, interfaces, and deployment procedures.
