Siemens Healthineers AG in the United States is seeking a Sr Software Engineer I to design a new web-based user interface for a surgical robotics product and modernize AWS services and databases to drive improved performance and reliability.

The role emphasizes applying development best practices, collaborating with systems engineering and QA teams, and gaining domain expertise across technologies such as WASM, SpringBoot, HTML5, and containerization to support medical device software

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related technical area.
• Minimum 5 years of experience developing application software.
• Strong proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Rust, C++, or Python.
• Demonstrated skills in Object-Oriented Design and Analysis, with the use of UML required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross- functional teams required.
• Familiarity with agile software development required.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% required.

Responsabilités

• Designing and implementing a new web-based user interface for a surgical robotics product.
• Reviewing existing AWS cloud services and database structures to recommend modernization initiatives.
• Utilizing development best practices, including continuous software testing.
• Acquiring and maintaining domain expertise of relevant software technologies and products.
• Working with systems engineering & software QA teams to generate software requirements, design specifications, and assist with software test methods.
