Job summary

Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) seeks a full-time Web Application Developer to join a team responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining NASA Earth Science Division websites and web apps.

You will work primarily with PHP, Drupal, and WordPress, collaborating with designers, content producers, project managers, and stakeholders. A U.S. citizenship is required; this is a remote role with Eastern time schedule.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or web design/development or comparable work experience.
• 5+ years of experience deploying commercial or government websites and secure web applications/ CMS.
• Drupal 10/11 maintenance and development, including custom module development.
• Critical thinking focused on the delivery of architectures and solutions to challenges.
• Sound experience in fundamental web technologies.
• Experience using version control systems (Git).
• Ability to write maintainable and scalable code.
• Ability to both take direction and work in a self-directed environment as an effective team member.
• An interest in supporting NASA's communication and research goals.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Familiarity with Wordpress module development.
• Developing in an Agile environment.
• Experience using Docker, Composer, and Drush.
• AWS administration experience (EC2, S3 and Application Load Balancers).
• System/server administration and configuration.
