Job summary

Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) is seeking a full-time Web Application Developer to join a team responsible for developing and maintaining several NASA Earth Science websites and web-based tools.

The role focuses on PHP, Drupal, and WordPress, with collaboration across designers, content producers, project management, and stakeholders. You will work with a distributed team on self-directed and joint efforts, delivering experiences that inform and showcase NASA knowledge.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or web design/development or comparable work experience.
• 5+ years of experience deploying commercial or government websites and secure web applications/content management systems.
• Drupal 10/11 maintenance and development, including custom module development.
• Fundamental web technologies experience.
• Experience using version control systems (Git).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications and CMS-driven websites (WordPress/Drupal).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers and project managers.
• Deliver scalable, maintainable PHP code and secure web apps.
• Support NASA Earth Science Division communications and research goals.
