Job summary

Jackson State University is seeking a Senior Web & Application Systems Developer to lead web and application development projects, set standards, and guide architectural direction. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in web or application development or systems integration.
  • Significant experience with Ellucian Banner, including API development, Oracle-based data structures, and integration frameworks.
  • Proficiency in backend development languages (PHP, Python, Java, JavaScript/Node.js).
  • Strong SQL skills; Oracle experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with API frameworks, ETL processes, REST/SOAP, and system integration technologies.
  • Experience with web server management, DevOps practices, version control (Git), and automated deployment tools.
  • Strong knowledge of security standards, identity management (SSO, SAML, OAuth), and data governance.
  • Demonstrated leadership in technical project management and system architecture.
