Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Senior Domain Data Steward to act as the primary domain authority and cross-functional connector across wealth data assets. You will partner with Data Product Managers, IT/Engineering, and Business Domain Owners to ensure data is trusted, high-quality, and regulatory-defensible across operational platforms and analytical environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data management, information systems, finance, or related field.
• 8–10+ years in data stewardship or data management.
• Strong knowledge of Private Wealth Management processes.
• Proficient in SQL to profile datasets and validate data models.

Responsibilities

• Co-own domain roadmaps with Data Product Managers and engineers.
• Define data trust standards and acceptance criteria for SDLC and data pipelines.
• Drive business adoption of certified data products among advisors and operations.
• Profile data, detect anomalies, and investigate using SQL.
• Lead cross-functional triaging of data defects with Data Engineering.
• Validate end-to-end data flows across wealth platforms and cloud data warehouses.
• Partner on privacy controls with Risk, Security, and Engineering.
• Ensure regulatory readiness and data traceability across systems.
• Coordinate alignment among Domain Owners, Data Product Managers, and IT teams.
