Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Senior Domain Data Steward to act as the primary domain authority across wealth data assets. You will collaborate with Data Product Managers, IT, and Business Domain Owners to ensure data is trusted, high quality, and aligned with regulatory expectations across client, account, portfolio, and performance domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data-related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8-10+ years in data stewardship, data management, or private wealth operations.
• Strong knowledge of Private Wealth Management processes and structures.
• Hands-on SQL profiling, data lineage tracing, and data issue debugging with engineering teams.
• Experience collaborating with agile software delivery teams and product managers.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and data observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Co-own domain roadmaps with data product managers, translating priorities into backlogs.
• Define domain data trust standards, validation rules, and acceptance criteria.
• Drive adoption of certified data products to business users and executives.
• Conduct data profiling to detect anomalies, schema drifts, and pipeline breaks.
• Lead cross-functional triage of data defects with data engineering.
• Validate end-to-end data flows across wealth platforms to cloud warehouses.
• Collaborate with risk, security, and engineering on privacy and controls.
• Ensure data completeness, traceability, and regulatory readiness.
• Align business owners, data product managers, and IT around a unified data quality vision.
