Job summary

ORBIS Inc. seeks a Waterfront Ship Manager Representative to provide on-site support and oversight for U.S. Navy surface ship modernizations for NSWCPD programs, including coordinating ship yard access, work plans, and installation efforts.

You will manage schedules, track material delivery, and ensure adherence to ship yard regulations while coordinating test procedures and SPIR data entry across multiple locations CONUS and OCONUS.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience providing technical support for U.S. Navy HM&E with at least 5 years in Navigation systems and equipment.
• Seven years of experience in direct fleet support, installations, testing, troubleshooting, equipment assessments, and acceptance testing.
• Familiarity with NAVSEA Headquarters, Surface fleet and Carrier fleet commander organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site waterfront support and oversight for ship modernization effort.
• Coordinate ship yard access, work plans, and installation efforts; manage schedules and logistics.
• Monitor SPIR data entry and tracking; update SPIR tool as required.
• Produce weekly waterfront status reports including testing progress and on-site personnel dates.
• Coordinate INCO and power coordination to ensure safe alterations and timely testing.
• Interface with NSWCPD ISEAs, AITs, and shipyard staff to resolve issues and track material delivery.
