Job summary

Baxter & Woodman is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Operations Project Manager to lead municipal programs across our Illinois offices. This role emphasizes operational leadership, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with clients and contractors.

The candidate will coordinate start-ups after construction, review plans for compliance, and act as ROIC for treatment facilities, while guiding staff and engaging with local agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an environmentally focused program preferred.
• 10+ years of water/wastewater operations experience.
• Knowledge of NPDES limits and facility regulations.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communications between stakeholders for capital improvement programs.
• Perform operational reviews of water/wastewater plans during design.
• Act as Responsible Operator in Charge (ROINC) for treatment facilities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and submit DMRs to IEPA.
• Provide on-site municipal staffing support.
