Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC is seeking a Water Resources Project Manager in Parsippany, NJ to lead water and wastewater projects from planning through construction. This hybrid role requires on-site presence three days a week and close collaboration with municipal and utility clients.

You will own scope, schedule, budgets, and design coordination, coordinate with NJDEP permits, and mentor junior staff. A NJ PE license or comity eligibility is required plus 8+ years in a consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or closely related field.
• 8+ years of water and wastewater experience in consulting.
• New Jersey PE license or ability to obtain NJ licensure by comity.
• Hands-on design authorship: drawings, specifications, basis of design reports and permit applications prepared.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle water and wastewater projects from planning through construction.
• Control scope, schedule, fee, and budget; develop proposals.
• Direct design team producing drawings and contract documents.
• Coordinate with NJDEP for permits and water quality planning.
• Maintain client relationships post-project; coordinate funding with NJ Infrastructure Bank etc.
