Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead water/wastewater projects and help grow our Industrial Business unit. You will coordinate planning and design of water, water reuse, and wastewater initiatives, with opportunities for national business development across the U.S. This is a hybrid role with 2 days in office and multiple U.S. office locations.

You will mentor engineers, supervise deliverables, and maintain client relationships while ensuring project success and quality control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; civil/environmental/chemical engineering preferred.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• PMP/CCM/DBIA certification required within 12 months of hire or promotion.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent experience may substitute for a degree.

Responsibilities

• Managing and serving as the lead Project Manager on water/wastewater projects.
• Providing technical guidance, senior leadership, and mentoring engineering staff.
• Being responsible for scope, schedule, and budget development for projects.
• Completing QA/QC of key deliverables and assisting on projects managed by others.
• Assisting Client Service Leaders with technical marketing for clients across the U.S.
• Participating in professional societies relevant to the industry.
• Building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers in clients' organizations.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

Civil/Environmental/Chemical Engineering degree

Master’s degree

PE license

Equivalent experience in lieu of degree

10 years of related experience
