Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Senior Water and Wastewater Project Manager in Charlotte, NC to lead delivery of municipal water projects and grow the practice. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with clients to shape planning and design strategies.

The role emphasizes hands-on design oversight, project management, and collaboration across the Water Hub, with an eye toward expanding regional leadership in the sector.

Qualifications

• Engineer with 15–25 years since BS, 3+ years in PM or supervisory roles.
• Professional Engineer license in NC or reciprocity possible.
• BS or MS in Engineering; advanced degrees preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage water and wastewater design projects for municipal clients.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and supervise junior engineers.
• Develop plans, schedules, and budgets; ensure quality control.
• Engage clients, manage expectations, and win new work.
• Mentor staff and help shape the Water Practice strategy.
