Job summary

Consor is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure across California. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, foster client relationships, and drive projects from planning through construction.

Ideal candidates have a CA PE license, 10+ years of relevant experience, and strong management and business development abilities. This hybrid role offers flexible work arrangements across California locations including Rancho Cordova,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of water and wastewater engineering experience.
• Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Drive project execution strategies, proactively identifying risks, resolving challenges, and implementing solutions to keep projects on track and within scope.
• Develop and monitor detailed project work plans, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure efficient use of time and financial performance.
• Lead client presentations, workshops, and stakeholder meetings, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, permitting requirements, and industry standards throughout all project phases.
• Oversee contract management activities, including scope development, negotiations, change orders, and documentation.
• Champion continuous improvement by implementing best practices, innovative technologies, and process enhancements across projects.
• Partner with business development teams to identify new opportunities, contribute to proposals, and support project pursuits and interviews.
• Monitor project financials, including forecasting, invoicing, and profitability analysis, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, environmental, planning, and construction teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Act as a strategic advisor to clients, providing guidance on long-term infrastructure planning, capital improvement programs, and system optimization.
