Job summary

Consor is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to lead planning, design, and delivery of essential water infrastructure across California. You will partner with project managers and technical specialists on treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, and distribution systems.

The role involves design calculations, plans and specifications, and coordination with clients and regulators to meet budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
• California PE license required.
• 4+ years of water and wastewater engineering experience.
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil 3D is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, storage facilities, and related systems.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents for municipal and private-sector clients.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, cost-effective solutions that meet project objectives, schedules, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage project tasks and deliverables, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline expectations are achieved.
• Participate in client meetings and serve as a day-to-day point of contact, helping build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Conduct engineering analyses, evaluate alternatives, and provide recommendations to support project planning, design, and implementation.
• Review plans, drawings, and technical documents to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company quality procedures.
• Support construction-phase services, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, conducting site visits, and resolving field issues.
• Collaborate with senior project managers and technical leaders to develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and staffing plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and EITs while continuing to expand your own technical expertise and project management responsibilities.
