Job summary

United Consulting, Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a seasoned project engineer to plan, coordinate, and implement projects within budget, timeline, and scope. You will monitor progress and present updates to stakeholders, clients, and project teams.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil Engineering, is a licensed Professional Engineer in Indiana or capable of obtaining licensure within 12 months, and has 8+ years of water and wastewater engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer in Indiana or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Not less than 8 years of experience in Water & Wastewater Engineering.
• Proficient with a computer and Microsoft Excel and Word, and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Able to efficiently complete an entire set of contract documents.
• Must represent the firm professionally in public.
• Must be able to evaluate various water and wastewater equipment and materials.
• Must be able to prepare permit applications.
• Must be able to attend evening meetings with clients as needed.
• Must possess the ability to interact with officials at all levels of government.
• Strong business acumen in project planning and management.
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently complete an entire set of contract documents, including Plans, Specifications, Quantities, and Estimate
• Conduct meetings, including composing meeting agendas and minutes
• Client contact
• Work with and manage sub-consultants
• Work with and coordinate with other internal departments
• Assist in assembling Supplements, Proposals, and engineers’ reports
• Update relevant stakeholders or team members on the project progress
• Coach and support project team members with tasks you assign them
