Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer in California to lead planning, design, and construction documentation for water and wastewater infrastructure. The ideal candidate will manage projects, coordinate with clients, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include hydrologic analysis, hydraulic modeling, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. A CA PE license is preferred or obtainable within a year; MS degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, designing, and preparing construction documents for water/wastewater systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulic modeling for water distribution and wastewater networks.
• Public agency and municipal project experience preferred.
• California PE license preferred or ability to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and prepare construction documents for water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Lead project management, client communications, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Assist in permitting and regulatory compliance with local agencies.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Engage with clients and support business development activities.
