Job summary

Gcw,-Inc. is seeking an experienced design/project engineer to lead technical studies, design oversight, and construction coordination for public works and private development projects in Nevada.

The role requires delivering calculations, specifications, and reviews across multiple disciplines. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, at least four years of design or PM experience, and a Nevada PE license (or ability to obtain within six months).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Minimum four (4) years of engineering design or project management experience.
• Experience with treatment facility design, pump and lift station design, and municipal engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee technical studies, submittals, plans and general design for public works projects and private developments.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with contract requirements and support the project schedule.
• Oversee preparation of engineering calculations and estimates in the area of specialization.
• Coordinate construction services, attend progress meetings, review shop drawings, issue RFI responses, and investigate field changes.
• Direct day-to-day project management activities on design and planning projects, including scheduling and budget.
• Develop and implement project engineering procedures and controlling documents.
• Assist in the proposal process for new contracts, including estimates and project scope.
• Oversee, review, revise and certify engineering reports, specifications and drawings within the area of specialization.
• Supervise engineering interns and/or technical staff on project tasks.
